The loft bedroom also features a smart TV to watch WiFi programs and a DVD player. There is a cozy table and chairs that are perfect for game nights.

The outside of the cabin features a full-length front porch with plenty of seating for all guests with a great view of the private lake area. The back deck has a built-in hot tub with additional seating too. Off the living room, there is a graveled side area with a charcoal grill for your family BBQ.

  • We've stayed in rental cabins before, our taste is certainly towards something quiet, remote, comforts of home and needs a hot tub. We're from the Chicago suburbs so I wanted to make a quick getaway weekend for my fiance's birthday. 2 nights , so it had to be under 6hr drive for optimum enjoyment. Our usual rentals in Southern Illinois were booked (waited to long to book) So I set off to find something different. And boy did I find it. I was able to book about 3 weeks or so away from the trip date the Solitude cabin. By the sound of things it was right up our alley. We hadn't been anywhere below Northern Indiana before so I thought we'd give it a try. Booking was very easy (although I prefer secured online booking, I made an exception for this cabin doing reservations over the phone) I called talked to Bridgette. She gave me clear instructions and information. They will mail you a contract you will sign. Being such a short time frame instead of mailing it back, we just dropped it off at the main house before our stay (called ahead first before drop off). Drive down was about 4 hours. Scenic views, not bad at all. Directions were easy to follow. They send some incase you don't want to print them off. Cabin Solitude right off the bat was just as its name. Quiet. secluded. The only thing you hear is the occasional plane, squirrels, and deer. Which we saw 4 does right off the back porch the first morning! The view from any angle is gorgeous but what hits you is the scene presented from the front porch. Overlooking the steep path down to their private and stocked lake ( my fiance loves fishing and we will be back to try it out when its not frozen over!) As it's near xmas they had a lovely little lighted tree and wall/table accents for the season. A great touch. I always love sitting in the dark with the glow of xmas lights on. Comfortable and plentiful seating. Everything really for the comforts of home. The only little thing was that they forgot to leave a dish sponge but thankfully we had one in the car. The stairs up to the loft ar steep so it you have bad knees etc. it might not be the best cabin for you. Bed was so comfy, squishy pillows and comfortable firm yet squishable mattress. Bathroom is right down the stairs and is very accommodating.
What made it really great? Hot tub off the back porch with a nice view, porch level so you can step into it. Sitting in the tub on a quiet, cold, dark, winters night was just what we needed to recharge the overworked suburban batteries. That and having the gas fireplace going while we were in the cabin. I like that about 20 minutes either way you have something to do. Nashville, IN was so fun! It's a craft show in town form. We spent about 4 plus hours walking from shop to shop. So many beautiful decor, gifts, yummy food, etc... Nice that I could start my xmas shopping. It's a on the little pricey side but its work it to support local mom and pop businesses and artists. Plus most of the items are guaranteed for life. Bloomington is a bustling college town, so we only went to get groceries at Kroger, then we stopped to eat at Avers pizza. Very yummy indeed. Very family friendly. Overall, we had a wonderful trip and cant wait to come back and stay in the cabin and visit more sights around the area.

  • Had a great weekend at the Aspen Leaf! The cabin was beautiful and in great condition. The cabin was curated with great lamps, chandeliers, rugs etc... making a very cozy and warm place. The beds were well appointed and comfortable. Great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors!

  • We had another wonderful experience at Antler Log Cabins . Great place for a girlfriend's getaway weekend! Grandpa's Cabin is just perfect. We really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. And building a fire in the wood stove on a rainy day was so cozy. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to cook your meals.

  • We just spent 3 days at Moosehead Cabin. Cabin is absolutely beautiful! Very clean and has everything you need. My favorite part was just sitting on porch swing watching my husband fish. He did catch a bass. We couldn't ask for better weather it hit 70 yesterday. Saw turkeys and deer everyday! Super secluded! Thanks for sharing your beautiful property!

  • My husband and I had the best time at Antler Log Cabins- specifically the Tranquility Cabin. The property as a whole is very secluded, quiet, peaceful, and all in all- perfect for wanting to get away and relax. We were able to completely unwind from our busy lives and enjoy every single moment, together. We were blessed to be able to stay Monday night until Thursday morning and not a moment was spent wasted. Although it was a bit chilly, one night my husband made us some delicious rib-eye steaks (from Bloomingfoods) on the charcoal grill right outside the kitchen door. Staying in and making dinner together as opposed to going out to eat- priceless! The indoor fireplace was definitely another favorite for us. We had it on when we did sit down and watch TV- it gave the perfect, warm, relaxing feel. While we spent most of our time at our beautiful cabin we did venture out and visited a few different places: Runcible Spoon, Oliver Winery, Hopscotch Coffee and Bloomingfoods Market and Deli were our favorites. There are a number of different places to go visit, shop, eat, etc. around, just have to take a little drive. Each place is worth visiting but most important- Antler Log Cabins are a must visit! Hubby and I can not wait to visit Antler Log Cabins again!! We’d love to plan a trip and bring our kiddos BUT we’d also love to plan another trip for just the two of us! :D The Tranquility Cabin was perfect to create memories in and we can’t wait to visit again!!

  • My husband and I drove 5 hours from illinois to visit Antler Log Cabins to celebrate our Anniversary and to take a quick break from our hectic life at work and at home. And this experience is HANDS DOWN worth the drive! The people from the office has been very helpful with questions and information we asked. Very easy to contact and such warm/kind people in general. The cabin itself has such a cozy ambiance. The hot tub facing the peaceful and quiet woods was such a relaxing experience! Had a fun time watching my husband get on the boat on grandpa’s pond only to see him and the boat tip on the side 😂 Such great memories have been made in this trip! Highly recommended for couples trying to enjoy a special time with their better half. Will definitely come back again! Just be mindful that their cabins get booked pretty fast! You have to check their availability at least 3-4 months in advance! (Not surprised how busy they get, this place is awesome!). Thank you again!
